Almsgiving is good for fellow human beings, in Islam alms are divided into obligatory alms called zakat, this zakat in the Koran is for the faqir, the poor, the zakat committee, the slave, gharimin (people who owe for basic needs), and fisabilillah ( on the way of Allah) & ibn sabil (people on the way). Meanwhile, the sunnah alms called infaq
The glorious Islamic civilization regarding zakat appeared during the time of the Caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz, where at that time there were no recipients of zakat.
and it turns out that there is something even greater, namely almsgiving whose goods cannot be traded and are called waqaf or the property of Allah subhanahu wa taala.
I as a writer see that Allah is so great at making the above rules for the welfare of mankind, there is a huge potential for zakat in the world because of the large number of Muslims and Muslim countries that have abundant wealth from Oil and Gas, and not to mention the emergence of Muslim rich people from all over the world.
Meanwhile, from waqaf we know that the first waqaf in the world is the Ka'bah built by Prophet Ibrahim alaihis salam, followed by waqaf from the Qurma Gardens of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, waqaf of Sahabat Umar r.a., waqaf of the well of Sahabat Ustman bin Affan r.a.

Kemuliaan peradaban Islam tentang zakat muncul pada masa Khalifah Umar bin Abdul Aziz, dimana pada saat itu tidak ada yang mau menerima zakat.
dan ternyata ada yang lebih besar yaitu sedekah yang hartanya tidak bisa diperjualbelikan dan disebut wakaf atau harta milik Allah subhanahu wa taala.
Saya sebagai penulis melihat bahwa Allah Maha Besar membuat aturan-aturan diatas untuk kesejahteraan umat manusia, potensi zakat di dunia sangat besar karena banyaknya umat Islam dan negara-negara muslim yang memiliki kekayaan melimpah dari minyak & gas, dan belum lagi munculnya orang-orang kaya Muslim dari seluruh dunia.
Sedangkan dari wakaf kita ketahui bahwa wakaf pertama di dunia adalah Ka'bah yang dibangun oleh Nabi Ibrahim alaihis salam, disusul wakaf dari Kebun Qurma Nabi Muhammad SAW, wakaf tanah Sahabat Umar r.a, wakaf sumur Sahabat. Ustman bin Affan r.a.
